Digital literacy has become a crucial
aspect of modern life as we should continue to rely on digital technology more
than ever. Due to it, young people have an essential role in promoting and
disseminating digital literacy as they are the ones who grow up with digital
technology. Digital literary is also crucial because it can reach many people
in different location, both in the country and overseas, therefore they can
know and get benefit from insurance easily, fast and cheaply. In case of that, young
people need to understand the importance of insurance and the role it plays in
protecting individuals and their assets and furthermore, how it works on
digital.
Insurance is an agreement between the
insured (a person or a company that wants to be insured) with the insurance
company or guarantor. If the insured
pays the premium, the insurance company or the insurer agrees to pay a sum of
money in the event of an unexpected event, such as an
accident or illness. Insurance helps individuals to mitigate
financial risks and provide protection to their families and assets. However,
lack of education is one factor causing many people, especially the younger
generation, to be unfamiliar with insurance and its benefits. People do not
receive adequate education about insurance and its importance. Another factor
is misconceptions, as some individuals may wrongly assume that insurance is
unnecessary or too expensive. Additionally, cultural factors play a role, where
insurance may not be emphasized as a means of protecting assets or providing
financial security.
To introduce and welcome insurance, young
people are needed to play a significant role in promoting digital insurance
literacy through various means. Firstly, they can use social media to educate
their peers on the importance of insurance. Social media is a powerful tool
that young people use daily, and they can leverage it to disseminate information
about insurance. They can create informative posts, share articles, and even
organize webinars to educate their peers.
Secondly, young people can also collaborate with insurance companies and organizations to create educational programs that target their peers. These programs can take different forms, such as workshops, seminars, or even online courses.
Finally, young people can also lead by
example by taking out insurance policies themselves. By doing so, they
demonstrate to their peers that insurance is essential and that they should
consider getting insurance for themselves. They can also share their
experiences and how insurance has helped them in different situations.
At the end of this essay, I would like to share the information about how important Insurance is at protecting shippers on processing shipping goods .Mr. Jokowi has built infrastructure that makes it easier for farmers, labourers, and fishermen to deliver goods from remote areas. In the process of shipping goods, the risk of loss or damage to goods is always exists. Therefore, freight forwarding insurance is important to protect shippers. Freight insurance provides financial protection for farmers, labourers, and fishermen in the event of loss or damage to goods during the shipping process. With adequate infrastructure, farmers, labourers, and fishermen can ship their goods more easily and safely. This has a positive impact on the economy of remote areas, as shippers can deliver their products more quickly and safely, thus increasing the competitiveness of local products.
Furthermore, freight forwarding insurance
provides important benefits for farmers, labourers, and fishermen in remote
areas, such as financial protection, speeding up the shipping process, and
reducing risk of loss.
In conclusion, digital insurance literacy
is crucial in today's world, and young people have a significant role in
promoting it in order to give them protection.
